There are really several dozen reasons we could have put DJ up for this award: she anchors ESPN2's Cold Pizza, she's a
Michigan grad, she has a head that makes Kevin Mench's look normal, we could go on with this ad nauseum. No,
Jacobson's real crime was trying to be funny at the roast of Mike & Mike. Like Tim Watley, Dana is Jewish; unlike Watley,
though, she was raised Jewish and didn't convert for the jokes. Seen throughout the night swigging Belvedere vodka straight
from the bottle, Jacobson stepped up to the podium and delivered these pearls: "F*ck Touchdown Jesus," (pretty bad, but
somewhat par for the course given the nature of these roasts and the fact that Golic is an ND alum), "F*ck Notre Dame,"
(really not bad at all, considering that most Irish fans have been saying the same thing for the past year), and then the coup
de grace: "F*ck Jesus," at which point even Pontius Pilate thought she had gone too far. We at ScrubSports.com are
pretty familiar with offensive content, but this beeazzneeatch makes us all look like Boy Scouts. And the crazy thing is that
we're not even putting her up for this because of the actual content of her roast, but rather the fact that she was stupid
enough to get up and say something like this in front of people, particularly given the fact that she works for a network that
has put limitless effort into finding and exploiting even the smallest tidbits into national news.
Prediction #1: ESPN will force her to attend some sort of alcohol awareness class and to make an apology to Mel Gibson for
what she said about Jesus.
Prediction #2: Mad Max will call DJ "sugartits."
In a supremely poetic twist, ScrubSports.com has recently discoverd www.danajacobson.com. Isn't irony wonderful?
